Crystals have long been used in watches and other electronic devices. Crystals have a high vibrational energy which can also be used for healing. Some people conduct healing sessions with just crystals. Many Reiki practitioners combine a traditional Reiki treatment with the use of crystals. Although probably not as widely used, crystals can also support an IET® session.
During your Reiki session, you will have the option of experiencing the healing power of crystals. Using a layout that is right for you, as you lay on the table (or floor if you are willing/able), crystals will be placed on you, around you, or both. Depending on the layout, you may be taught special breathing techniques. Depending on your experience with crystal healing, the crystals may be used for all or only part of your session.
Marcel Vogel (1917-1991) was a scientist with IBM for 27 years until he started his own business, Psychic Research, Inc. A holder of many patents, he is known for his Vogel-cut wand. A Vogel wand is a quartz crystal cut to very mathmatically precise angles that correspond to the measurements of the Great Pyramid in Giza (51 degrees, 51 minutes, 51 seconds). Cut in this way, the crystal can focus healing energy very precisely. The number of facets may vary.
A Vogel wand session works the following way. Seated in a chair, you will be asked to hold the crystal and focus on an intention. Returning the wand to me, I will then move around you with the crystal in my hand, allowing it to focus the energy where it needs to be.
A vogel wand session will probably not take up all of your session time. The remaining time will be spent in a brief Reiki or IET® session.
